Bosch Serie 8 Washing Machine: Models, i-DOS & Repair

Serie 8 models sold in the UAE, which have i-DOS, 9 vs 10 kg, noise, Serie 8 vs 6 and 4, and what ownership and repairs cost in Dubai.

A technician in red overalls and a red cap kneels beside a white washing machine in a grey bathroom, holding the door open and working at the seal with a screwdriver, with a toolbag on the floor beside him.

Bosch Serie 8 Washing Machine: Models, Features and Repair in Dubai

The Bosch Serie 8 is the top of Bosch's four washing machine ranges, above the Serie 6, Serie 4 and Serie 2. Bosch's UAE website lists six Serie 8 front loaders: four 9 kg machines that spin at up to 1400 rpm and two 10 kg machines that spin at up to 1600 rpm. Retailers sell most of them for between AED 4,199 and AED 5,199, which is AED 1,800 to 2,800 more than the Serie 6 we found.

The name suggests one specification, and the pages we read do not support that. Some Serie 8 codes list automatic detergent dosing (i-DOS) and some do not. This guide explains how to tell them apart, which models are sold in the UAE, what the named features do, where the sources disagree, how the Serie 8 compares with the Serie 6 and 4, and what owning one costs in Dubai, repairs included. It is written by an independent Bosch repair company, not by Bosch and not by a shop. We do not sell washing machines.

At a glance

  • On Bosch's UAE list: WGB24400GC, WGB2440XGC, WGB244A0GC and WGB244AXGC (all 9 kg, 1400 rpm), and WGB2560XGC and WGB25600GC (both 10 kg, 1600 rpm)
  • i-DOS is not on every one. Bosch UAE lists it for the WGB244AXGC and says "No" for the WGB24400GC. Retailer pages show it on the WGB244AXGC and WGB244A0GC and do not mention it for the WGB2440XGC or WGB2560XGC
  • Home Connect is named on every Serie 8 page we read
  • Noise: Bosch UAE gives 52 dB washing and 72 dB spinning for two 9 kg models. Bosch's series table lists 44 and 68 dB as the best the range does
  • Prices on 2 November 2026: AED 4,199 to AED 4,799 for 9 kg models and AED 5,199 for a 10 kg model that was out of stock
  • Repairs in Dubai: typically AED 150 to 780 before 5% VAT, with a 90-day warranty on our repairs

Bosch Serie 8 washing machine: where it sits in the range

Bosch numbers its washing machine series 2, 4, 6 and 8, and the number tells you the feature level. The table below comes from Bosch's series comparison on its Ghana website, which we use because Bosch's UAE pages do not carry a comparison. Treat it as the best a range does, not as a promise about every model.

Serie 4 Serie 6 Serie 8
Capacity Up to 8 kg Up to 9 kg Up to 10 kg
Spin speed 400 to 1400 rpm 400 to 1400 rpm 400 to 1600 rpm
Lowest noise (wash / spin) 53 / 73 dB 48 / 72 dB 44 / 68 dB
Energy rating Bosch lists Up to A+++ -10% Up to A+++ -30% Up to A+++ -50%
Home Connect No No Yes
i-DOS No Yes Yes
4D Wash System No No Yes
AntiStain Plus Not listed Up to 4 stains Up to 16 stains
Display LED DirectSelect touch TFT, footnoted as HomeProfessional models only
Drum Clean with reminder Yes Yes Yes

Three rows separate the Serie 8 from the Serie 6: Home Connect, the 4D Wash System and the number of stains the AntiStain Plus system handles. The rest of the gap, such as capacity, spin speed and noise, is a matter of degree. The display row carries a warning in Bosch's own footnote, because it says the large TFT display belongs to the HomeProfessional models. A Serie 8 without that label should not be assumed to have it, and the UAE pages we read describe an LED display on the 9 kg machines.

Serie 8 models in the UAE

What Bosch UAE lists

Bosch's UAE front-loader page shows six Serie 8 machines. It gives capacity, spin speed and, for some, the finish. It gives no prices.

Model Capacity Spin Finish on Bosch's list
WGB24400GC 9 kg 1400 rpm Not stated (white on its spec page)
WGB2440XGC 9 kg 1400 rpm Silver inox
WGB244A0GC 9 kg 1400 rpm Not stated (white at Jashanmal)
WGB244AXGC 9 kg 1400 rpm Silver inox
WGB2560XGC 10 kg 1600 rpm Silver inox
WGB25600GC 10 kg 1600 rpm Not stated

The two 10 kg models are the only Bosch machines of that size we found on a UAE list. Our 10 kg guide covers why other 10 kg codes appear online. Our 9 kg guide covers the 9 kg range across all three series, and our 8 kg guide covers the smaller drums.

What retailers list

The prices below were read on 2 November 2026 from ACE, Sharaf DG and Jashanmal. They are retailer data, not Bosch's, and stock changes daily.

Model Retailer Price (AED) Stock
WGB24400GC ACE 4,199, was 5,099 Not stated
WGB2440XGC ACE 4,599, was 5,099 Available for home delivery
WGB244A0GC Jashanmal 4,399, was 5,199 Sold out
WGB244AXGC Sharaf DG 4,349, was 4,599 Not stated
WGB244AXGC Jashanmal 4,799, was 5,299 Sold out
WGB2560XGC ACE 5,199, was 5,599 Out of stock

Two cautions apply. The Sharaf DG page for the WGB244AXGC showed delivery dates in April and May, so its price may come from an older snapshot than the others. And the "was" prices show every one of these as reduced, by between 5% and 18% on the figures above. A machine that is reduced and then sold out or out of stock may be leaving the range, so ask whether a replacement code exists and how long parts are supported.

What Bosch's own spec pages say

Bosch UAE has full specification pages for the WGB244AXGC and the WGB24400GC. Together with ACE's page for the 10 kg WGB2560XGC they give the closest thing to a manufacturer comparison.

Detail WGB244AXGC (Bosch UAE) WGB24400GC (Bosch UAE) WGB2560XGC (ACE)
Capacity, max spin 9 kg, 1400 rpm 9 kg, 1400 rpm 10 kg, 1600 rpm
Noise, washing / spinning 52 / 72 dB(A) 52 / 72 Not listed
i-DOS Yes No Not mentioned
Home Connect Yes Yes Yes
Motor named SilentPowerDrive EcoSilence Drive EcoSilence Drive
Product size (H × W × D) 845 × 598 × 590 mm 845 × 598 × 590 mm 84.5 × 59.8 × 59 cm

Net weight 76.4 kg 75.0 kg Not listed
Door hinge Left Left Not listed
Hot and cold water intake No Not listed Not listed

Bosch's page for the WGB24400GC shows the unit of the noise and size figures as unstated, so we read them as dB and millimetres to match the WGB244AXGC page.

Two kinds of Serie 8: with and without i-DOS

This is the most useful fact in this guide, and the listings do not advertise it. Bosch's series table gives the Serie 8 i-DOS, but Bosch UAE's own page for the WGB24400GC lists automatic dosing as "No". The codes we checked sort into two groups.

Code i-DOS Source
WGB244AXGC Yes Bosch UAE, Sharaf DG
WGB244A0GC Yes Jashanmal
WGB24400GC No Bosch UAE
WGB2440XGC Not mentioned ACE
WGB2560XGC Not mentioned ACE

In the three codes where a source gave a clear answer, the "A" in the sixth place of the code lines up with i-DOS, and its absence lines up with no dosing. The two codes with no answer also lack the "A". That is our observation across a handful of codes, not a rule Bosch states, so treat it as a prompt to check the specification and never as a way to identify a machine. A price-comparison site we saw titled the WGB24400GC as having i-DOS, and Bosch's own page for the code says it does not. If dosing matters to you, get the answer from the Bosch specification of the exact code, or ask the seller to show you the word "i-DOS" on it.

What the split costs

The price gap makes this more than a technicality. ACE listed the WGB24400GC at AED 4,199 on 2 November 2026. ACE listed the Serie 6 WGA244A0GC, which has i-DOS, at AED 2,399. A buyer who pays the Serie 8 price for a non-A code gets Home Connect and a lower noise figure, and gives up dosing that a machine costing AED 1,800 less has. That may be a good trade for a household that wants the app, and a poor one for a household that wants dosing. Our Serie 6 guide explains what i-DOS asks of you, including the Serie 6 variants.

Searches for the Serie 8 include WAX28EH1GB and WGB256A-type codes. These are machines Bosch sells in other markets. The UK specification sheet for the WAX28EH1GB appeared in search results, and Singapore, Malaysia and Australia list their own WGB25-family codes. A machine bought abroad can differ in voltage, plug, warranty and part codes. If you own one, send us the full E-Nr before a visit so that we can check parts. If you are buying, match the code on the invoice to one of the six on Bosch's UAE list.

Bosch's own coding is not explained on the pages we read, so any reading of the letters is a hint at best. The rating plate and the invoice are what count.

Serie 8 features explained

The table combines Bosch's series table, the two Bosch UAE spec pages and the retailer listings. The right-hand column says what each feature does in daily use and what it means if something fails.

Feature Where it comes from What it means in practice
i-DOS Bosch series table, Bosch UAE, Sharaf DG, Jashanmal Tank-fed automatic dosing. Bosch says it dispenses the right amount for each load based on fabric and soil level. Not on every Serie 8
Home Connect All the Serie 8 pages we read App control. Bosch says it lets you manage the machine anywhere and select the most affordable energy source
4D Wash System Bosch series table, Sharaf DG, Jashanmal Bosch says it uses water and detergent intensively and efficiently to penetrate fabric
AntiStain Plus Bosch series table Up to 16 stains. Bosch UAE's WGB24400GC page lists "automatic stain removal"
VarioDrum Bosch series table Evenly distributes water to wash without creasing garments
ActiveWater Plus Bosch series table Uses less water by detecting the load size
SpeedPerfect Bosch series table, Jashanmal Shortens a program by up to 65%
Reload Bosch series table, Bosch UAE Add items after pressing start
Iron Assist Jashanmal Reduces ironing
Foam detection or control Sharaf DG, Jashanmal Watches for excess suds
Drum Clean with reminder Bosch series table A cleaning cycle with a prompt
AquaStop Bosch series table Leak protection, with a Bosch warranty against water damage
Hot and cold water intake Bosch UAE (WGB244AXGC) Listed as "No"

i-DOS on the Serie 8

On a Serie 8 that has it, i-DOS holds detergent in a tank and releases a measured amount for each wash. Bosch says it bases the amount on fabric and soil level. The tank becomes part of your routine, and the manual for your code says which products it accepts and how to clean the system. We cover the habits in the Serie 6 guide, since the system is the same idea. If you leave the machine unused for weeks, read what the manual says about the tanks before you go.

Home Connect

Every Serie 8 page we read names Home Connect, whereas Bosch's table gives it to no other washing machine range. The pages describe the same things: remote start and stop, cycle notifications and monitoring (Jashanmal, ACE and Bosch UAE's "remote monitoring and control"). Bosch's series text adds compatibility with Alexa, Google, Nest and IFTTT, and automatic selection of the cheapest energy source. We have not checked whether the energy-source feature works in the UAE.

App and network problems are a different category from faults. If the app loses the machine, suspect the router, the phone and the app first. Our visits are for faults in the machine itself: a dead display, a cycle that will not start or a control module that fails.

The motor name

Bosch UAE's page for the WGB244AXGC lists SilentPowerDrive, and its page for the WGB24400GC lists EcoSilence Drive. ACE and Jashanmal use EcoSilence Drive and describe it as a brushless motor with a 10-year warranty, while Bosch's series table also gives EcoSilence Drive a 10-year motor warranty. We cannot tell whether SilentPowerDrive is a different motor, a different name for the same one or an error. If the motor warranty matters, ask Bosch or the seller which drive your code has, and get the terms in writing, because the retailers describe the warranty only in a few words.

AntiStain and AntiStain Plus

Bosch's table gives the Serie 8 AntiStain Plus for up to 16 stains and the Serie 6 up to 4. The UAE spec page for the WGB24400GC lists "AntiStain automatic stain removal", and the one for the WGB244AXGC lists an "automatic stain removal" option. Neither names AntiStain Plus or a count of stains. So the number 16 describes the range, and we cannot tell you which UAE code has it.

The display

Bosch's table footnotes the large TFT display as a HomeProfessional feature. Bosch UAE describes an LED drying progress and end-of-cycle display for the WGB244AXGC, and Jashanmal calls out a touch dial. If a large screen matters to you, look at the machine before you buy.

Noise: 52 and 72 dB, or 44 and 68 dB?

Two sets of figures circulate. Bosch's series table gives 44 dB washing and 68 dB spinning as the lowest in the range. Bosch UAE's pages for two 9 kg models give 52 dB(A) for washing and 72 dB(A) for spinning. The first describes the best Serie 8 Bosch makes, and the second describes these machines.

For comparison, the Serie 6 WGA244A0GC is listed at 55 dB for washing at ACE, and the 9 kg Serie 4 at 55 and 73 dB. So the UAE Serie 8 is quieter than the Serie 4 by 3 dB washing and 1 dB spinning, and sits within a few decibels of the Serie 6. That is a small difference, and not a reason on its own to pay AED 1,800 more.

Two cautions apply. The dB(A) figures are for one program, so heavy spinning in an echoing laundry room sounds louder than any label. And a machine that becomes noticeably louder than it was has changed in some way. A rumble that grows with spin speed usually points to bearings or shock absorbers, a rattle to a loose object in the drum and a knock to an unbalanced load. Do not keep spinning a machine that bangs.

9 kg or 10 kg, 1400 or 1600 rpm

The two 10 kg machines are the only ones that spin at 1600 rpm. ACE lists the WGB2560XGC at 10 kg and 1600 rpm for AED 5,199, and the listing showed it out of stock. That is AED 600 to 1,000 more than the 9 kg Serie 8 prices above.

Bosch's buying guide, which we read on its Egypt site, suggests 8 or 9 kg for homes of three to four people and 10 kg for five or more, with 8 to 10 kg for bulky items. It also says a machine with 1400 or 1600 rpm leaves clothes drier, which cuts drying time and energy. So the practical reasons to choose the 10 kg machine are a large household and a lot of bulky bedding. Everyone else is paying for a drum they will not fill.

The extra spin speed has a cost of its own. A level floor and a balanced load matter at any speed, and more as the speed rises. On the 10 kg listing we found no weight, so ask the seller before you plan the carry.

Programs

The two Bosch UAE spec pages and the retailers name these programs between them. Your model has some, not all of them, and the manual is the authority.

Program or option Listed on Suited to
Cottons: Economy to 90 °C WGB244AXGC (Bosch UAE) Everyday cotton and linen
Easy-care: cold to 60 °C WGB244AXGC, WGB24400GC Mixed and synthetic fabrics
Delicates and silk, Wool Bosch UAE Fabrics that need low temperatures and gentle action
AllergyPlus Both Bosch UAE pages Sensitive skin, as Bosch describes it
Shirts and blouses, duvets, night wash, Family Mix, pre-wash WGB24400GC (Bosch UAE) Specific loads
Quick 15 and 15/30 minute programs WGB24400GC Lightly soiled items
Super15 and SpeedPerfect options WGB244AXGC Shorter cycles
Sportswear, down, outdoor Listed "No" on WGB244AXGC Not on that model, though Bosch's series table lists sportswear and down programs

Two points follow. The last row shows a series table that promises more than one product page delivers, which is the pattern throughout this guide. And a quick program saves time on lightly soiled items and does less to a stain, so it is not a fix for a heavily loaded drum.

Serie 8 vs Serie 6 and Serie 4

If you want Serie 4 Serie 6 Serie 8
The lowest price (UAE listings we saw) AED 1,799 (9 kg WGA14400GC) AED 2,399 (9 kg WGA244A0GC) AED 4,199 to 5,199
Automatic dosing No Yes On some codes
App control No Not listed Yes
The lowest noise figure on UAE pages 55 / 73 dB 55 dB washing 52 / 72 dB
Biggest drum 9 kg 9 kg 10 kg
Highest spin 1400 rpm 1400 rpm 1600 rpm
Stain system AntiStain on the 9 kg per retailers AntiStain System Up to 16 stains per Bosch's table

Choose the Serie 8 if you will use the app, you have a large household that needs the 10 kg drum, or you want the quietest figure in the range and have confirmed i-DOS on the exact code if dosing matters.

Choose the Serie 6 if dosing is the reason you are upgrading. It has i-DOS at about AED 1,800 to 2,800 less than the Serie 8 on the listings we saw, and the 9 kg drum is the same as the Serie 8 9 kg. The app is the thing you give up.

Stay with the Serie 4 if you measure your own detergent and want the cheapest 9 kg machine. Our Serie 4 guide goes through those models.

We have no failure data for any range, so none of this is a durability ranking. The price gap buys features, and dosing and the connected module are extra parts that the cheaper ranges do not have.

Size, weight and installation

The footprint is the same across the 9 kg and 10 kg machines we looked at: about 84.5 cm high, 59.8 cm wide and 59 cm deep. What differs is the weight and the swing of the door.

  • Door-open depth. Bosch UAE and ACE give 1,090 mm for the 9 kg and 10 kg machines. A cabinet, a bathroom door or a wall closer than that can foul the door swing.
  • Weight. Bosch UAE gives 76.4 kg for the WGB244AXGC and 75.0 kg for the WGB24400GC. That is a two-person carry, and a difficult one on stairs.
  • Door hinge. Bosch UAE lists the hinge as left on both pages. If your room needs the door to open the other way, check before buying, because we do not know whether the hinge can be changed on these models.
  • Adjustable feet. Bosch UAE gives up to 12 mm of adjustment. Level the machine until it does not rock.
  • Power cord. 160 cm, so the socket must be within reach.
  • The route to the room. Measure the lift, the corridor and the turn into the laundry.

Installation steps are the same as for other Bosch front loaders. Remove the transport bolts before the first wash, connect the inlet hose to the cold supply hand-tight, since Bosch UAE lists no hot-and-cold intake for the WGB244AXGC, fit the drain hose without kinks and run an empty first wash while you watch it fill, wash, drain and spin. If your machine has i-DOS, fill the tanks following the manual. Our 8 kg guide lists the full steps.

Setting up and loading a Serie 8

Most "the machine doesn't clean" complaints come from loading and detergent choices.

  • Do not pack the drum. Leave room for water and detergent to move through the load. The manual gives the maximum load for each program.
  • Mix large and small items. One wet duvet or bath mat spins unevenly alone. The Reload function Bosch lists lets you add a forgotten item after pressing start, within the limits the manual gives.
  • Sort by what the program needs. Heavy cottons, delicates and wool need their own programs and limits.
  • On an i-DOS model, let the machine dose. Adding detergent to the drum as well defeats the point of the system. Keep the tanks filled and clean as the manual says.
  • On a non-i-DOS model, measure the detergent from the pack's dosing guide for the load size and water hardness.
  • Run Drum Clean when the reminder appears. Bosch lists a drum clean cycle with a reminder, and a hot cleaning cycle with a cleaner is the fix for a smell, if the manual allows it.
  • Wipe the door seal and leave the door ajar after the last wash.

Five checks before you book a repair

Some faults take a few minutes to fix without a tool. Try these first, and note what you see so the technician can use it.

  1. Is the tap open and the hose straight? A half-closed tap or a kinked inlet hose gives a slow fill or an E17 code.
  2. Is the pump filter clear? Unplug the machine, put a tray under the service flap and open the filter. Coins and lint collect there, and a blocked filter is the usual cause of E18.
  3. Is the drain hose kinked, or is the standpipe blocked? If the sink drains slowly, the machine is not the only suspect.
  4. Is the load balanced? A machine that stops mid-spin often sees a lopsided load. Redistribute it and restart.
  5. Has the power tripped? Check the socket or isolator. Do not keep resetting a breaker that trips with a wet fault.

If the fault persists, book. If water is leaking, switch off at the wall and close the tap first.

Error codes on a Serie 8

The codes follow the same family as other Bosch washing machines, and the meaning can vary by range, so the manual for your code is the final word. These are the ones we see most. Each has its own page.

Code What it points to First check
E17 (F17 on some models) Water not entering the drum in time Tap open, inlet hose straight, inlet filters rinsed
E18 (F18 on some models) Water not leaving the drum in time Pump filter and drain hose
E19 (F19 on some models) Bosch pages: heating time exceeded. See our E19 guide None. Book a check
F21 Reported by repair sites as a motor fault. Not on the Bosch pages we read Redistribute the load, restart once
E67 Repair sites link it to the electronic control module. Not listed on the Bosch pages we read Switch off at the wall for two minutes, then restart

Photograph the code before you reset anything. A code that returns after a reset tells the technician what the control board saw.

What a Serie 8 repair costs in Dubai

A Serie 8 has the same mechanical fault list as other Bosch front loaders, plus rows for the dosing system on models that have it and for the control and connectivity module. The table shows typical prices, excluding 5% VAT. The AED 99 inspection is deducted from the repair if you go ahead.

Fault Usual cause Typical fix Time on site Price (AED)
Not draining Blocked pump filter, failed drain pump Clear the filter, replace the pump 45 to 90 min 150 – 320
Not filling Inlet screen, inlet valve Clean the screen, replace the valve 45 to 90 min 160 – 300
Not heating Scaled or failed element, temperature sensor Replace the element or sensor 60 to 120 min 260 – 480
Leaking Worn door seal, hose, pump housing Replace the seal, hose or housing 45 to 90 min 180 – 380
Not spinning Motor wiring, imbalance sensor, bearings Replace the failed part 60 to 120 min 220 – 520
Door won't open Lock actuator, blocked drain Release the door, replace the actuator 45 to 90 min 160 – 340
Noisy drum Worn bearings, shock absorbers Replace bearings or dampers 2 to 4 hours 380 – 780
Dosing fault (i-DOS models) Tank sensor, dosing pump, blocked line Clean or replace the dosing parts 60 to 120 min 280 – 620
Control or connectivity module fault Failed electronics Repair or replace the module 60 to 150 min 320 – 750

The part and the access decide where in the range a quote falls. A drain pump costs far less than a control module or a set of bearings, and a 75 kg machine takes more effort to pull out and refit. Our washing machine repair guide explains each fault and its error codes.

Repair or replace a Serie 8?

Use a real new-machine price as the reference. On 2 November 2026 ACE listed the 9 kg WGB24400GC at AED 4,199, and the 10 kg WGB2560XGC at AED 5,199. A workable rule is that a repair costing more than about half of a comparable new machine, or a machine past ten years old with two serious faults, is a case for replacing. Half of AED 4,199 is about AED 2,100.

The repair prices in these examples come from our placeholder ranges, so check your own written quote.

  • Three-year-old Serie 8, drain pump failed, quote AED 300. That is 7% of the new price. Repair it.
  • Five-year-old Serie 8, dosing and module faults, quote AED 1,100. That is 26% of the new price, and the machine still has most of its life. Repair it.
  • Eight-year-old Serie 8, worn bearings, quote AED 780. That is 19% of the new price, and bearings are routine work on a sound machine. Repair it if the drum, seal and module are in good condition.
  • Twelve-year-old Serie 8, bearings, a failing module and a leaking pump housing, combined quote AED 2,300. That is 55% of the new price on an old machine with three faults. Replace it.

Two points tilt the decision. A new machine comes with a seller warranty, and the listings we saw state one year plus a longer motor warranty whose terms you should read, while our repairs carry 90 days on the repaired fault. We will tell you when a repair is not worth it, and if you decline, you owe only the inspection fee.

Owning a Serie 8 in Dubai: care and servicing

The weight of a load falls on the bearings and shock absorbers on every spin, and a few habits keep that load easier on them.

  1. Clean the pump filter regularly. The manual gives the interval. Our washing machine guide has Bosch's steps.
  2. Balance heavy loads, and do not run a single bulky item on its own.
  3. Run Drum Clean when the reminder appears, and wipe the door seal.
  4. Keep the i-DOS tanks clean and filled on models that have them, and follow the manual's advice before a long absence.
  5. Check the level now and then. A machine that has walked out of level shakes on spin, and more so at 1600 rpm.

Know the signs that a repair is due:

  • A rumble, knock or squeal that grows with spin speed
  • Water that drains slowly, or an E18 code
  • A smell that survives a hot cleaning cycle
  • Drips at the door, drawer or under the machine
  • Dosing that seems wrong, on an i-DOS model
  • A display or app connection that fails while the machine itself works

The AED 99 inspection looks at all of these, runs a test cycle and gives a written quote for anything that is wearing. You decide what to approve.

How to book, and the warranty on our repairs

You book online or by WhatsApp. We confirm a two-hour window, and the technician messages you on WhatsApp 30 minutes before arriving. On site, they diagnose the fault, show you the failed part where possible and give you a written quote with the part number. Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on the parts fitted and the labour for the repaired fault. We list the part number on a VAT invoice. If your machine is still inside its warranty, contact the seller or Bosch first. Our service center page explains how to decide, and our customer care guide lists Bosch's own contact routes.

We repair Bosch washing machines across Dubai, with typical arrival times of 50 to 75 minutes after the technician sets off. Areas include Dubai Marina, JLT, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah, JVC, Dubai Hills, Mirdif and Al Barsha.

Frequently asked questions

What does Bosch Serie 8 mean for a washing machine?

Serie 8 is the top of Bosch's four washing machine ranges. Bosch's series table gives it up to 10 kg, up to 1600 rpm, Home Connect, i-DOS, the 4D Wash System and AntiStain Plus for up to 16 stains, though not every model has every feature.

Which Bosch Serie 8 washing machines are sold in the UAE?

Bosch's UAE list shows the 9 kg WGB24400GC, WGB2440XGC, WGB244A0GC and WGB244AXGC, and the 10 kg WGB2560XGC and WGB25600GC. Check the E-Nr on any machine you buy.

Does every Bosch Serie 8 have i-DOS?

No. Bosch UAE's page for the WGB24400GC lists automatic dosing as "No", while its page for the WGB244AXGC says "Yes". Ask the seller to show i-DOS on the specification of the exact code.

Does the Bosch Serie 8 have Wi-Fi?

Every Serie 8 listing we read names Home Connect, Bosch's app control. It lets you start, stop and monitor a cycle from your phone. Bosch's series table gives it to no other washing machine range.

Is there a 10 kg Bosch washing machine in the UAE?

Yes. Bosch UAE lists two, the WGB2560XGC and WGB25600GC, both with a 1600 rpm spin. ACE listed the WGB2560XGC at AED 5,199 and showed it out of stock on 2 November 2026.

How loud is a Bosch Serie 8 washing machine?

Bosch UAE gives 52 dB for washing and 72 dB for spinning on two 9 kg models. Bosch's series table lists 44 and 68 dB as the lowest in the range, so do not assume a given model reaches those.

Is the Serie 8 worth it over the Serie 6?

It is worth it for Home Connect, the 4D Wash System and, on the 10 kg models, the larger drum. It is not worth it for dosing alone, because the Serie 6 has i-DOS for AED 1,800 or more less, and some Serie 8 codes do not.

How much does a Serie 8 washing machine repair cost in Dubai?

Most repairs fall between AED 150 and 780, excluding 5% VAT. A blocked pump filter is the cheapest, and bearings, a dosing fault or a control module the most. The AED 99 inspection is deducted from the repair if you go ahead.

Where is the model number on a Bosch Serie 8?

On the rating plate, usually on the edge of the door opening or on the back. The model number is the E-Nr, for example WGB244AXGC. Photograph the plate and send it with your booking.
