Bosch Fridge Repair in Dubai
A Bosch fridge that has stopped cooling is an emergency in Dubai, because food in a warm kitchen does not last long. A technician can usually diagnose the cause at your home in one visit and give you a fixed price in AED before any work starts. Book before 4 pm and most areas of Dubai get a visit the same day.
Before you book, spend ten minutes on the checks below. Bosch's own pages for a fridge that has stopped cooling start with power, the temperature setting and blocked airflow or dirty coils. None of those needs a technician, and each takes a minute or two to rule out. If they do not explain it, this page covers every other common fault, what causes it, and where your part of the job ends.
We are an independent Bosch appliance repair company, not the manufacturer. If your fridge is still inside Bosch's warranty, contact Bosch first. Our independent service center page explains how to decide.

Bosch fridge repair in Dubai: what we fix and which models
We repair Bosch fridges and freezers in homes across Dubai: top-freezer and bottom-freezer fridge freezers, tall single-door fridges, and American-style side-by-side models. That covers the Serie 4 and Serie 6 ranges and the NoFrost and VitaFresh versions.
The series number tells you the feature level, not the parts inside. The number a technician needs is the model code on the rating plate. On most fridges the plate is inside the fresh-food compartment, on the side wall or under the top shelf, and sometimes on the back. Photograph it before you call. With the code, we can check which fan, sensor, heater and control board your fridge was built with before the visit.
Here are three Bosch fridges listed by UAE retailers on 2 November 2026, to show how different the layouts are:
| Model | Layout | Listed features | Retailer price (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|
| KDN43NLE0M | Top freezer, 328 L net | Total No Frost, VitaFresh, CoolExtend, 42 dB, 1-year brand warranty | 2,599 (was 3,199), Jashanmal, sold out |
| KSV36VL3PG | Single-door upright, 348 L gross | No Frost, VitaFresh, SuperCooling, FreshSense, 39 dB, 1-year brand warranty | 3,799.01, Sharaf DG |
| KAI93VI30M | American side-by-side | Ice cubes, crushed ice and water at the push of a button | 5,999 (was 6,049), Jashanmal, sold out |
Retailer pages change often and can disagree with themselves. The Jashanmal side-by-side page gives 533 L net and 610 L gross in the title and 386 L in the product details, so treat the capacity as unconfirmed. The point of the table is the third column: features decide what can fail. A NoFrost fridge has a fan and a defrost system that a basic fridge does not. A side-by-side with a dispenser has a water line, an inlet valve and an ice maker. Each adds a repair category.
Three layouts change what a technician checks first:
- NoFrost models. A fan moves cold air from an evaporator to the compartments, and a defrost cycle clears frost from the evaporator. Faults in the fan, the defrost system or the sensors show up as warm compartments or ice.
- Fridge freezers with one cooling system. Many models share one compressor between the two compartments. A fault in the shared system can warm both sides.
- Dispenser models. The water supply and the ice maker add a leak risk and a separate set of parts.
Check these before you book
Run through this list first. Each item comes from a Bosch support page or from how these appliances are designed to behave, and each takes a few minutes.
Is it getting power? Bosch US says to confirm the fridge has power, and that the light should come on when you open the door. If the light is off, check that the plug is fully in, that the socket works (test it with a lamp or phone charger), and that the breaker has not tripped. Bosch UK also says to check the plug fuse and to use a 13 amp fuse, and to contact an electrician if needed. UAE sockets take the same three-pin plug, but your booklet states the right fuse for your model.
Is the temperature set correctly? Bosch UK says perishable food should not be stored above +4 °C and recommends setting the fridge to +4 °C. Coolblue, a European retailer, gives the same figure for the fridge compartment and says about a quarter of households set it wrong. Bosch US points out that the setting can be bumped when you clean the fridge or move things in and out. Check the display or dial, and compare it with the setting you remember. Your booklet shows how to change it.
Are the rear vents or air paths blocked? Bosch US says large boxes pushed toward the back of the fridge can stop air circulating. On NoFrost models, cold air moves through vents inside the compartment, and food stacked against them blocks it. Pull items clear of the back wall and any visible vents, and give the fridge a few hours before you decide.
Are the condenser coils dirty? Bosch UK says dirty condenser coils significantly reduce cooling capacity. The coils are at the back or underneath, depending on the model, and many modern fridges hide them behind panels. If yours are visible and dusty, a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner nozzle removes the dust with the fridge switched off at the wall. Do not remove panels that need tools.
Does the door close and seal? Bosch UK gives a paper test: close the door on a piece of paper and try to pull it out. If it slides out easily, the seal is not gripping at that point. Test several places around the door, because a seal can be worn at one corner only. The next section covers what a bad seal does.
Is the fridge level and has the door been left open? Bosch UK says a tilted fridge stops water draining, and a door left open lets in warm, humid air that the fridge has to work against. Both are easy to check.
Did you just load a lot of warm food? A full load of warm shopping makes the fridge work harder for hours, and the freezer temperature alarm can sound without any fault. Bosch's manual says the alarm can switch on without risk to the food when large quantities of fresh food are put in.
If none of this explains the problem, move to the symptom guides.
Find your fault
Start with what the fridge is doing. A fault can occur without an alarm or code, and the same symptom can have several causes. Each section gives the usual causes, one safe check, and the point at which you should stop.
One rule covers all of them. If you smell burning, see smoke or sparks, hear loud clicking with a hot casing, or the breaker trips each time the fridge starts, unplug it or switch it off at the wall and call. Do not keep resetting the breaker. Move perishable food to another fridge or into insulated cool boxes while you wait.
The fridge is not cooling
This is the most common call, and the cause usually sits in one of five places.
- Power or settings. The checks above rule these out. A fridge with no light and no sound has no power. A fridge with a working display but warm compartments has power.
- Airflow. Blocked vents inside, or a fridge pushed hard against the wall so its rear can't release heat. Our reading: a fridge built into tight cabinetry is more likely to suffer this, so check the gaps your booklet specifies.
- The fan. On NoFrost models, a failed or iced-up evaporator fan stops cold air reaching the compartments. The usual signs are a freezer that is still cold but a fridge that is warm, and a fan noise that has stopped or become a rattle.
- The defrost system. If the defrost heater or its sensor fails, frost builds up on the evaporator until it blocks the airflow. The fridge then slowly warms over days. Frost on the back wall of the freezer is the sign.
- The sealed cooling system. The compressor, the pipework and the refrigerant make up a sealed circuit. A fault here, such as a failed compressor or a leak, is the most serious and the most expensive cause.
Tell us what is warm and what is cold. Fridge warm and freezer cold usually points to airflow, the fan, a damper or the defrost system. Both warm, with the compressor silent, points to power, the control board or the compressor. Both warm with the compressor running continuously points to a sealed-system problem or a very dirty condenser.
Do not open or work on the sealed system, and do not try to recharge refrigerant. The circuit holds pressurised refrigerant, and many modern domestic fridges use a flammable one, so look at the rating plate. Compressor and refrigerant work belongs to a qualified technician. We assess it at the inspection and quote it separately, because it varies the most.
One compartment is warm, the other is fine
When the freezer is cold and the fridge is warm, the compressor is running and making cold. The problem is getting that cold into the fridge compartment. The causes are blocked vents, a failed fan or damper, or iced-up air passages. Defrosting fully, with the fridge switched off and the door open, clears an ice blockage temporarily. If the problem returns within days or weeks, the defrost system is not doing its job, and that needs a technician.
When the fridge is cold and the freezer is warm, the likely causes are different. A freezer that doesn't freeze usually means a failed fan, a heavy frost build-up, a door that hasn't closed, or the cooling system struggling. Check the door seal and that nothing holds the freezer drawer open.
Frost and ice build-up
Some ice in the freezer is expected on a model without NoFrost, and defrosting clears it. On a NoFrost model, Coolblue says you never need to defrost, so persistent ice there points to a cause worth finding.
Bosch UK says leaving the door open too long lets warm, humid air in, so ice forms, and that the fix is to defrost the appliance fully and make sure the door closes properly before switching it back on. Check these first: a door that was left ajar, a drawer not pushed in, a seal that does not grip, and a hot or humid room.
If frost keeps coming back with the door closing normally, the likely causes are the door seal or the defrost system. A defrost heater that no longer works lets frost build up on the evaporator. The sign is a thick layer of frost on the back panel of the freezer and cooling that gets worse over days. A technician checks the heater, the sensor and the control board, in that order.
Do not chip ice off with a knife or screwdriver. The evaporator and pipework sit behind the ice, and a puncture is a sealed-system fault.
Water inside the fridge or on the floor
Bosch UK lists three causes for a fridge that leaks: a blocked drainage hole, ice build-up, and a faulty door seal. Each is checkable.
A blocked drainage hole. Condensation forms on the back wall of the fridge compartment and runs to a drainage hole at the lower part of the back wall. If the hole blocks, the water pools and may run out. Bosch's fix, in its own steps: take out the pull-out containers, clean the drainage hole with a cloth and a damp cotton bud, soak up the water with a soft sponge, and wipe the interior with a food-safe fridge cleaner. If you cannot find the hole, your booklet shows where it is. Coolblue says to check the water drain every three months, which is a sensible habit.
Hot food and an open door. Bosch UK notes that steam from warm food condenses into water, and that a door left open lets moist air in. Let food cool to about room temperature and wrap it before storing it.
A tilted fridge. If the fridge is not level, water won't drain properly. Bosch's fix is a spirit level and the adjustable feet or bolts underneath.
Melting ice. Ice that melts inside the freezer or fridge can run out as water. Defrost fully and fix the cause.
A faulty door seal. Water from a seal fault comes from warm air condensing inside.
A dispenser or water line (side-by-side models). Water under or behind the fridge on a model with a dispenser points to the water line, the inlet valve or a loose connection. Switch off the water supply to the fridge, if you can reach the valve, and message us on WhatsApp. Do not keep using the dispenser.
If the drainage hole is clear, the fridge is level, there is no ice and the seal passes the paper test, and water still collects, tell us. It may be a cracked drain tray or tube behind the panels, which needs a technician.
The fridge is noisy
Some noise is normal. Coolblue says the fan and the compressor cycling on are normal sounds and that a new fridge is often louder at first. The retailer listings above give the noise of two models as 39 and 42 dB.
What is not normal: a loud rattle, a grinding, a continuous high whine, or a clicking that repeats every few seconds. Our reading of the likely causes:
- A rattle or buzz usually comes from something touching the back or side of the cabinet, from a tilted fridge, or from a loose tray. Level the fridge, and check that nothing touches the wall.
- A fan noise that comes and goes in the freezer is often ice touching the fan blades. Defrost the freezer fully, and if the noise returns, the fan motor is wearing.
- A click that repeats every few seconds while the fridge is warm is worth telling us about, because it can mean the compressor is trying to start and failing.
- A loud hum or knock from the compressor itself needs a technician.
Tell us where the noise comes from and when it happens. A short video helps.
The door will not close or the seal is damaged
A door that does not close properly lets warm air in, which causes ice, leaks, alarms and an overworked compressor. The cause is a worn seal, a bent hinge, a door that sags, or something that holds it open.
Bosch UK says a seal that fails the paper test needs replacing and that replacement is easy and does not need an engineer. We repair what we find, but if you want to try it yourself, follow your model's guide. For a fridge-freezer in daily use, a visible tear, a seal that has hardened and a gap you can see are all reasons to replace it. A seal replacement is usually a quick job, and the quote is among the lowest in the cost table.
The fridge runs constantly
A fridge that never stops running is working against something. The causes are a door that does not seal, a dirty condenser, a full load of warm food, a high room temperature, a setting that is too cold, or a cooling fault that makes the cold it produces insufficient. Check the first five. If the compartments are also warm, the cause is a fault.
In a hot Dubai kitchen, a fridge sited next to an oven or in direct sun runs longer. Our reading: if the room is hot and the fridge is built into tight cabinetry, make sure the ventilation gaps your booklet specifies are clear.
The ice maker or water dispenser stops working
On side-by-side models with a dispenser, the parts are the water supply, the inlet valve, the filter, the ice maker and the dispenser mechanism. The causes of an ice machine that does not work include a closed or kinked water supply, a blocked filter, a frozen supply line, a failed inlet valve and a failed ice maker.
Check that the water tap feeding the fridge is open, that the line is not kinked behind the fridge, and that the freezer is cold enough to make ice. If you have a filter, check when it was last replaced. We carry out the work on the appliance side: valves, lines, filters and ice makers. Do not use the dispenser if it leaks.
Alarms and beeping
Bosch's manual for fridge freezers describes two alarms.
The door alarm. Bosch says: "If the appliance door is open for a longer period, the door alarm switches on." You silence it by closing the door, or by pressing the alarm button. If the alarm sounds with the door shut, the door may not be closing fully. Push the door shut, check the seal, and look for an item that holds the door or a drawer open. A door switch that has failed can also trigger it.
The temperature alarm. Bosch says that if the freezer compartment becomes too warm, the temperature alarm switches on. The manual lists cases where it can switch on without any risk to the food, including when large quantities of fresh food are put in. You switch off the warning tone with the alarm button, and the display then shows the set temperature again.
How to read the temperature alarm:
- It sounds after you loaded fresh food. This is a known, harmless trigger per Bosch's manual. Press the button and let the freezer recover.
- It sounds after a power cut. The freezer may have warmed. Look at the food before deciding what to do (see the next section).
- It sounds for no reason and does not stop. The freezer is not holding temperature. Check the door, and the checks above. If the display shows a temperature that stays high, message us on WhatsApp.
Power cuts and food safety
Power cuts are a fact of life in some buildings, and freezer food is the main risk. Bosch's manual gives three rules for food that has started to defrost: do not refreeze food after it has defrosted or started to defrost, refreeze food only after cooking it, and do not store such items for the full maximum storage period. It adds that bacteria may multiply during thawing and spoil the food.
Two practical points follow. First, keep the doors closed during a cut, because every opening lets cold out. Second, some models are built to hold cold longer: the Jashanmal listing for the KDN43NLE0M says its CoolExtend feature keeps freezing temperatures for up to 30 hours during a power cut. That is the retailer's listing for that model, so check your own booklet for your own figure.
We do not give time limits for how long food stays safe, because they depend on the food, the load and the room. For food you are unsure about, the rule is the one in Bosch's manual: if it has defrosted, do not refreeze it raw. If the fridge itself stops working, move perishables to another fridge or cool boxes while you wait for the repair.
Bosch fridge error codes
Fridge codes are harder to find than washing machine or dishwasher codes. The Bosch UAE fridge support page we checked lists five problem topics and a phone number, BSH 048030400, and no error codes. The Bosch UK and US pages we checked give no code list either. Your booklet is the place to look for what your display symbols mean.
Third-party repair sites do publish code tables for Bosch fridges, with E1 to E9 and specific resistance values, but the one we checked cites no Bosch manual or bulletin, and it is a repair advertisement. We do not reproduce those tables, because we cannot verify them, and a wrong code in front of the wrong fridge sends people in the wrong direction.
If your fridge shows a code, a flashing symbol or a letter and number:
- Photograph the display, including the symbols.
- Note what happened just before: a power cut, a new load, a door left open.
- Switch the fridge off at the wall for a few minutes, then restore the power. Bosch's oven and dishwasher pages use the same reset. The fridge pages we checked do not mention it, so do it once only.
- If the display returns, send us the photo and the model code.
What a Bosch fridge repair costs in Dubai
The AED 99 inspection includes the visit, the diagnosis and a written quote. If you approve the repair, the AED 99 comes off the repair price. If you decline, it is all you pay. The table shows typical prices by fault, all excluding 5% VAT.
| Fault | Usual cause | Typical fix | Time on site | Price (AED) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blocked drain | Blocked drainage hole or tube | Clear and flush the drain | 30 to 60 min | 150 – 280 |
| Door seal | Worn or torn gasket | Replace the seal | 30 to 75 min | 160 – 420 |
| Fan fault | Evaporator or condenser fan | Replace the fan or motor | 45 to 120 min | 200 – 480 |
| Defrost fault | Heater, sensor or timer | Replace the failed part | 60 to 150 min | 250 – 620 |
| Temperature sensor or thermostat | Failed sensor or thermostat | Replace the part | 45 to 120 min | 220 – 520 |
| Control board | Failed electronics | Repair or replace the board | 60 to 150 min | 300 – 750 |
| Ice maker or water line | Valve, filter, line or ice maker | Replace the failed part | 45 to 120 min | 200 – 560 |
| Door hinge or switch | Worn hinge, door switch | Replace the part | 30 to 90 min | 150 – 320 |
| Sealed-system fault | Compressor, leak, restricted circuit | Assessed at inspection | Quoted separately | From 450, quoted after inspection |
Three things move a quote within its range. The part matters most: a drain clear costs far less than a control board. Access matters too, since a built-in fridge or a heavy side-by-side takes longer to pull out safely. And stock: if the part is not on the van, the price is the same but you wait for a second visit.
For context on labour, the marketplace ServiceMarket publishes an electrician rate of AED 129 an hour and a minimum of AED 99 for jobs under 60 minutes, both excluding VAT, on a page last updated in April 2026. It lists no fridge repair price. Appliance repair is priced by fault, not by hour, so that figure is context and not a comparison.
A worked example: your Bosch top-freezer is warm in the fridge and cold in the freezer, and the technician finds a failed evaporator fan. The all-in price is AED 340, and the AED 99 inspection is included in that figure. VAT adds AED 17, so you pay AED 357. If you decline the quote, you pay AED 99 plus AED 4.95 VAT, a total of AED 103.95.
Payment is by card, cash or bank transfer, and every visit gets a VAT invoice with the part numbers listed.
Repair or replace?
Compare the written quote with the price of a comparable new fridge. A workable rule: if the repair costs more than about half of a new equivalent, or if the fridge is past about fifteen years and has had two serious faults, replace it. This is our rule of thumb, not a Bosch figure. Below that line, repair usually makes sense.
The UAE retailer prices we checked on 2 November 2026 give the reference. A Bosch top-freezer, the KDN43NLE0M, is listed at AED 2,599 at Jashanmal. A single-door upright, the KSV36VL3PG, is AED 3,799.01 at Sharaf DG. An American side-by-side, the KAI93VI30M, is AED 5,999 at Jashanmal. Those are listings, and two of the three were sold out.
- Four-year-old top-freezer, evaporator fan failed, quote AED 340. Against AED 2,599 for a new KDN43NLE0M, that is 13%. Repair it.
- Nine-year-old fridge freezer, door seal worn, quote AED 280. Against AED 2,599, that is about 11%. If the cabinet and the compressor are sound, repair it.
- Twelve-year-old side-by-side, control board failed, quote AED 700. Against AED 5,999, that is about 12%, and the repair is clearly worth it if the rest is sound. The same quote on a basic fridge worth AED 2,600 is 27%, and the decision depends on the fridge's age and condition.
- Compressor failure. A sealed-system repair of AED 600 or more on a fridge worth AED 2,600 is 23% or more. Repair makes sense on a younger, well-kept fridge. On an older one, the sealed system is often the point at which replacement wins.
Coolblue suggests replacing white goods older than seven years. That is one retailer's advice and it favours selling you a new one. Our own view is that age alone is a poor reason, and that condition and the cost of the fault matter more. If our advice is to buy new, you owe only the inspection fee.
For a longer schedule covering every Bosch appliance, see the maintenance table on our Bosch service center page.
Features that change the repair
NoFrost. Coolblue says NoFrost fridges never need defrosting. The trade-off is a fan and a defrost system that a standard fridge does not have. Faults here show as warm compartments or ice.
VitaFresh. The Sharaf DG listing describes VitaFresh as separate dry and moist zones for humidity control. It is a storage feature, and we list it because owners often ask whether it affects repairs.
SuperCooling. The Sharaf DG listing says SuperCooling chills new items faster and resets automatically after about 6 hours. If your fridge seems colder than set shortly after loading it, SuperCooling may be running.
FreshSense and sensors. Sharaf DG lists FreshSense sensors for a constant interior temperature. Our reading: a failed sensor can make a fridge run too warm or too cold.
CoolExtend. The Jashanmal listing says it keeps freezing temperatures for up to 30 hours in a power cut. It is a feature of that model, so do not assume your fridge has it.
Dispensers. On a side-by-side, the water line and the ice maker are additional parts that can leak or fail. The Jashanmal listing says the KAI93VI30M dispenses water, ice cubes and crushed ice at the push of a button.
Home Connect and displays. Some models have a display or app connection. A connection problem is not a cooling fault. If the fridge cools normally, the app is not a reason for a repair visit.
Looking after a fridge in Dubai's heat
Fridges need little care, but a few habits prevent most of the calls above.
- Check the drain every three months. Coolblue gives this interval. Clean the drainage hole the way Bosch describes, with a cloth and a damp cotton bud.
- Keep the door seal clean. Wipe it with a damp cloth, and run the paper test now and then.
- Dust the condenser coils. Bosch UK says dirty coils significantly reduce cooling. If yours are accessible, clean them with the fridge switched off.
- Give it room to breathe. Follow the ventilation gaps in your booklet, and keep the fridge away from the oven and direct sun.
- Let food cool before storing it. Warm food adds steam and load.
- Keep the door shut and don't overload the shelves. Blocked air paths and open doors cause most of the problems in this guide.
- Keep the fridge level. A spirit level and the adjustable feet fix it.
- Set it to +4 °C. Bosch recommends it, and a colder setting does not help.
- Plan for a power cut. Keep the door shut and know where a spare cool box is.
What to tell us when you book
The more precise the booking, the more likely the first visit ends in a finished repair. Have these ready:
- The model code from the rating plate. A photo is enough.
- The symptom, in your own words. "The fridge is warm but the freezer is cold" is more useful than "it's broken".
- What is warm and what is cold. And since when.
- Any alarm, display message or symbol, and when it appeared.
- What you have already tried. Say if you checked the power, the setting, the vents and the drain.
- Frost or water. Where it is, and how thick.
- Noise. What it sounds like, where it comes from and when it starts.
- Age and history. How old the fridge is and whether it has been repaired before.
- Where it is. A built-in fridge or a heavy side-by-side needs a clear path and space to pull out.
- Access details. Building name, apartment, parking, and any approval your building management needs for technicians.
If you have a video of the fault, such as the noise or the display, send it by WhatsApp. A ten-second clip can settle the diagnosis before the visit.
How a visit works and the warranty
You book online or by WhatsApp. We confirm a two-hour window, and the technician messages you on WhatsApp 30 minutes before arriving. On site, they diagnose the fault, show you the failed part where possible, and give you a written quote with the part number. You approve or decline. If you approve, the repair is done on that visit when the part is on the van; if the part has to be ordered, you get the lead time before you say yes. We test the fridge before we leave, and you receive a VAT invoice with the warranty end date.
Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on the parts fitted and the labour for the repaired fault. If the same fault returns inside 90 days, we come back at no charge. We do not describe our parts as original Bosch. The part number is on your invoice, and our spare parts guide shows how to check it. The full process and what we do not cover are on the Bosch service center page. If your problem is a different appliance, see Bosch oven repair or Bosch dishwasher repair.
We repair Bosch fridges across Dubai, with typical arrival times of 50 to 75 minutes after the technician sets off. Areas include Dubai Marina, JLT, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Palm Jumeirah, JVC, Dubai Hills, Mirdif and Al Barsha. If your area is not listed, message us on WhatsApp and we will tell you before you book. In towers and gated communities, send the building and apartment details with your booking so the technician is on the access list.
Frequently asked questions
Why has my Bosch fridge stopped cooling?
Bosch's support pages point to three first causes: no power, a changed temperature setting, and blocked airflow or dirty condenser coils. Check that the light comes on, set the fridge to +4 °C, and clear the vents. If it still does not cool, the cause is likely the fan, the defrost system, a sensor, the control board or the sealed cooling system, and a technician needs to find out which.
What temperature should a Bosch fridge be set to?
Bosch UK recommends +4 °C for the fridge compartment, and says perishable food should not be stored above it. Coolblue gives the same figure. Your booklet gives the freezer setting for your model.
Why is my Bosch fridge leaking water?
Bosch UK lists three causes: a blocked drainage hole at the lower back wall, ice build-up from a door left open, and a faulty door seal. Clean the drainage hole with a cloth and a damp cotton bud, check the fridge is level, and run the paper test on the seal. If water still collects, message us on WhatsApp.
Why does my Bosch fridge beep?
Bosch's manual describes a door alarm, which sounds when the door is open for a longer period, and a freezer temperature alarm, which sounds when the freezer is too warm. Close the door or press the alarm button. The temperature alarm can sound without risk to the food after you load a lot of fresh food. If it does not stop, message us on WhatsApp.
Can I refreeze food after a power cut?
Bosch's manual says do not refreeze food after it has defrosted or started to defrost, and refreeze it only after cooking. Bacteria can multiply during thawing. If you are unsure about a food, the safe course is to throw it away.
Do you repair the compressor and refrigerant system?
We assess sealed-system faults at the inspection and quote them separately, because the cost varies a great deal. Do not try to work on the refrigerant circuit yourself. Many modern fridges use a flammable refrigerant, and the work needs a qualified technician.
Is it worth repairing a Bosch fridge?
Usually, if the repair costs less than about half of a new equivalent and the fridge is sound. The UAE retailer prices we checked on 2 November 2026 ran from AED 2,599 to AED 5,999 for three Bosch models, so a typical fan, seal or sensor repair is a small fraction of that.
Can you repair it the same day?
Book before 4 pm and in most areas we visit the same day. If the part is on the van, the repair is finished in that visit. If it has to be ordered, we give you the lead time first, and we suggest where to keep food in the meantime.
Will a repair affect my Bosch warranty?
That depends on your warranty terms, and we cannot read them for you. The retailer listings we saw state a 1-year brand warranty on two of the three models. If your fridge is still in Bosch's warranty period, call Bosch first. If the warranty has ended, there is nothing to affect, and our 90-day warranty covers the repair we make.
