Bosch Coffee Machine Repair in Dubai: Fully Automatic, Tassimo and Built-In

Ask Bosch UAE what to do about a faulty fully automatic coffee machine and the answer is one sentence: contact customer service and the machine "will be repaired in our Bosch service workshop". The page gives no symptoms, no checks, no causes, no price and no turnaround. Bosch UK's equivalent page says the machine goes to a central workshop and is collected in a special transport box arranged by phone. Neither page tells you what to do in the meantime, or whether the fault is one that a descale would have fixed.

This page fills that gap. It sets out what Bosch's pages say about coffee machine faults in the UAE, the UK, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and New Zealand, which faults Bosch itself treats as descaling problems and which as repairs, the checks that belong to you, and what each repair costs in Dubai. The steps for cleaning and descaling are already in our two coffee machine guides, so we link to them and do not repeat them.

We repair Bosch appliances. We are an independent company and not an authorised Bosch agent. Where this page says "Bosch says", it names the page and the country. Where it says "ours", it is our reading from repair visits. If your coffee machine is inside Bosch's warranty, contact Bosch first. Our Bosch customer care guide lists the official channels.

At a glance

  • Inspection and written quote: AED 99, credited to the repair if you go ahead
  • Typical repair ranges: AED 150 to 560, excluding 5% VAT
  • Warranty: 90 days on parts and labour for the repaired fault
  • Hours: every day, 7 am to 10 pm, by WhatsApp or online booking

The short answer

  • Bosch UAE sends a malfunctioning fully automatic machine to its service workshop. The number on the page is 600 522 553, and a separate box on the same page gives BSH 048030400 for support. The page does not say which to use.
  • Bosch treats two faults as descaling faults: a machine that does not pump water and a machine that does not heat. Bosch Egypt and Saudi Arabia both say a descale is the usual remedy, with Bosch's own descaler and no household cleaners.
  • Bosch treats water running out of the machine as a repair. Bosch Egypt says "in most cases a repair is required", and Bosch UAE says a coffee machine that is "clogged and leaking" has "normally a repair" due.
  • Bosch UK says an "overheating" message needs 30 minutes with the machine switched off.
  • Bosch UAE gives one cause for bitter coffee: the grinder is set too fine. Use a coarser setting.
  • No Bosch page we read mentions a grinder fault, a leak source, a milk system fault or an error code list for a coffee machine.
  • Do not open the machine. Do not use household cleaners. Do not keep descaling a machine that leaks.
  • Typical repairs in Dubai: leaking AED 150 to 320, no coffee AED 180 to 460, grinder noise AED 260 to 560.

Which Bosch coffee machine do you have

The route to a repair depends on the type, so identify it first. Our cleaning guide has the full identification table, and the short version is this: Close-up of a hand with an orange fingertip guard seating a blue internal component into the open service compartment of an automatic coffee machine, with the drip tray grille visible below. Illustrative stock photo.

If you... You have Repair route
Pour in beans and the machine grinds them A fully automatic machine Bosch UAE: customer service, repaired in the Bosch service workshop
Insert a pod with a barcode A Tassimo capsule machine See below
Pour water into a tank and drip it through ground coffee into a jug A filter coffee maker Bosch's pages on this type are about cleaning and descaling

What Bosch UAE lists

We checked on 2 November 2026. Bosch UAE's coffee machine category showed four coffee machines and one grinder. The TIG20301 and TPG40307 are fully automatic, the CTL7181B0 is a built-in fully automatic machine, and the TKA2M113GB is a filter machine. The category page lists no capsule or Tassimo machine and no feature details.

Tassimo

We found no Tassimo machine on Bosch UAE. Our cleaning guide covers Tassimo cleaning from the Tassimo brand's own pages, and says so. For a repair, send us the model code on the base and a photo of the machine, and we say before the visit whether we can repair it. For a low-cost capsule machine, replacement may make more sense than repair, which we cover in the repair-or-replace section below.

The model code

Look on the base or the back for the model code. Send us a photo when you book and we confirm the type before we visit. Bosch UAE's parts pages for other appliances say the model number starts with three letters and ends with a "/" and two digits. We did not find a Bosch UAE spare-parts page for coffee machines, so our spare parts guide explains how the lookup works for washing machines and dishwashers, which is the only part of the UAE site we could check.

What Bosch says about coffee machine repair

We read the Bosch pages below on 2 and 3 November 2026. Bosch updates them, so check the page itself before you rely on a detail.

Bosch page What it says What it leaves out
UAE, "fully automatic coffee machine malfunction" "Your fully automatic coffee machine is malfunctioning? We can help." Contact customer service and it will be repaired "in our Bosch service workshop". Number 600 522 553, and BSH 048030400 in a separate box Symptoms, checks, causes, cost, turnaround, collection
UAE, "coffee machine is clogged" "If your coffee machine is clogged and leaking, something is definitely wrong and normally a repair is due" Causes, steps, which number to use
UK, "fully automatic coffee machine malfunction" Repaired in the Bosch central workshop. A defective machine or milk frother is collected in a special transport box, arranged by phone. Engineer repairs in and out of warranty. A Bosch Store for spare parts and care products Symptoms, checks, cost, the phone number in the page text
UK, "display shows cool device" The appliance is overheating. Switch it off for at least 30 minutes What to do if the message returns
UAE, "automatic coffee machine makes bitter coffee" Finer grind tastes stronger and can taste bitter. Use a coarser setting. Strong-flavoured beans can also be the cause Descaling, brew unit, when to call
Egypt, "coffee maker not pumping water" "A descale is usually the order of the day", with a special descaler and no household cleaners. If water runs out, "in most cases a repair is required" Other causes, steps, frequency
Saudi Arabia, "coffee maker won't heat up" "Usually necessary to descale the machine", with Bosch's descaler Other causes, when to stop
New Zealand, "coffee maker problems" A heater that is not working, or something going wrong during descaling. A 24-month free repair, then a fixed cost Causes, checks, the actual price

What the pages share

Every page we read sends the owner to Bosch, to a workshop or to an engineer, and none gives a test for the machine's internal parts. The only owner steps are descaling, a coarser grind and a 30-minute cool-down. That is a short list, and it is the reason this page exists: most owners will meet a symptom that is not on it.

What the pages do not cover

We found no Bosch page, in the countries above, that covers a grinder fault, a leak source, a milk system fault, a brew unit that will not seat or an error code for a coffee machine. We therefore do not give Bosch codes or a Bosch cause for any of them. Where the sections below describe a cause, it is ours and is labelled so.

Warranty wording

Bosch Egypt and New Zealand both state a 24-month free repair period, followed by a fixed cost. Both pages show the fixed price only as an unfilled placeholder, so no amount is given. We do not know whether the same terms apply in the UAE, and Bosch UAE's pages do not say. Your warranty is the one on your paperwork. Keep the invoice, note the model code, and ask the retailer or Bosch in writing.

Workshop or home visit

Bosch's route for a fully automatic machine is a workshop: Bosch UAE says the machine is repaired there, and Bosch UK describes collection in a transport box. That means the machine leaves your kitchen. Neither page says how long it is gone, whether collection is free or whether you must bring it in. Those are the questions to ask when you call.

Our route, where the fault allows, is a visit to your home or office. The technician diagnoses the machine in your kitchen, gives a written quote in AED before work starts, and repairs it on site if the part and the fault allow. If a machine needs the bench, we say so at the inspection and quote it before we take anything away. The AED 99 inspection is credited to the repair if you go ahead.

Which is better

Ours, not Bosch's, and it depends on what you value:

  • Inside warranty, the Bosch route is the one that keeps the warranty simple.
  • Outside warranty, a home visit saves you carrying a heavy machine and living without it while it waits in a queue.
  • A built-in machine cannot sensibly be carried anywhere, which makes a home visit the realistic option.

The honest limit is that we cannot repair every fault on site. Some jobs need a bench, a part we do not carry or a model we do not have the part for. We tell you which at the inspection.

Fault by fault

The machine leaks

This is the one fault where Bosch's UAE and Egypt pages agree without qualification. Water running out of the machine is a repair, not a descaling job. Bosch Egypt says "in most cases a repair is required", and Bosch UAE says a clogged and leaking machine has "normally a repair" due.

Before you call, find the water. Ours, not Bosch's: check whether it is under the drip tray, at the water tank seat, or beneath the machine, because the answer tells the technician where to start. Remove the water tank and look at its seat and at any seal on the tank. Empty and refit the drip tray. Photograph the wet area before you wipe it.

Our service data lists the usual causes as a worn seal or the water tank valve. A repair of this kind typically runs AED 150 to 320 and takes 45 to 75 minutes. Do not keep descaling a machine that leaks. Our descaling guide makes the same point.

No coffee, or the machine will not pump water

Bosch Egypt says that when the machine stops pumping water, "a descale is usually the order of the day", and advises using Bosch's special descaler and not household cleaners, which it calls "mostly aggressive". Our descaling guide walks through the programme and the products.

If a descale and a rinse do not restore the flow, our service data lists the pump or a clogged brew unit as the next suspects. Clean the brew unit first if your model has a removable one. Our cleaning guide shows how. A repair for no coffee typically runs AED 180 to 460 and takes 45 to 90 minutes. The spread is wide because a clogged brew unit is a cleaning job and a failed pump is a part.

The machine does not heat

Bosch Saudi Arabia says a coffee maker that will not heat up usually needs descaling, with Bosch's own descaler. It names no other cause, and it does not say when to stop. Bosch New Zealand mentions a heater that is not working as an example of a problem, with no steps.

Ours, for a machine that is still cold after a descale and a rinse: stop and do not run it repeatedly. Tell us what the display shows, how long you waited and whether it ever warmed. We have no separate price for a heating fault on our service data, so the quote at the inspection is the figure that counts. Our overall coffee machine range is AED 150 to 560.

The display says the machine is overheating

Bosch UK's "display shows cool device" page says the message means "your appliance is overheating". Switch the machine off and leave it for "at least 30 minutes, to allow it time to cool down". It adds that infrequent descaling is a possible cause, and suggests descaling regularly, not adding more water than the drinks need, and using good beans.

The page does not say what to do if the message returns after cooling. Ours: if it returns, stop using the machine and book an inspection. A machine that overheats a second time has told you the first cool-down was not the whole answer.

Bitter or weak coffee

Bosch UAE's page on bitter coffee gives one cause: the finer the grind, the stronger it tastes, and a very fine grind can taste bitter. Its remedy is a coarser grinder setting, and it says strong-flavoured beans can also be the cause. Change the setting a step at a time and make a few cups before you judge.

Weak coffee is the reverse, and no Bosch page we read covers it. Ours: check the grinder setting and whether the brew unit is clean before assuming a fault. If a clean brew unit and a sensible setting still give poor coffee, that is an inspection.

Grinder noise

No Bosch page we read covers a noisy grinder. Our service data lists burrs or the motor as the usual causes, with a repair typically at AED 260 to 560 in 60 to 90 minutes. That is the dearest of the three fault types on our list.

Stop grinding as soon as the noise changes. Ours: a grinder that makes an unusual noise on beans is better stopped than tested, because running it can add damage. Switch the machine off, and send us a short video of the sound with the model code. Do not try to clear the grinder by hand, and do not poke anything into it.

Milk system faults

Bosch Egypt's coffee topics include cleaning the milk tube and the milk used with a frother, and our cleaning guide covers the rinse programme. Beyond cleaning, the Bosch pages we read say nothing about milk system faults. If the milk does not froth or flow after a thorough clean, that is an inspection. The UK page collects a defective milk frother in a transport box, which reads as a workshop job.

The machine locked after a descale warning

Our descaling guide notes that Bosch UK's display can warn that "descaling programme is overdue" and that the device will shortly be locked. If the machine has locked, the descale is the way out. If you have the tablets and the programme will not start, tell us what the display shows. Do not open the machine.

What Bosch's own support index covers

Bosch Egypt's coffee machine support page is the longest index we found. It lists 23 topics as links with no text beneath them. Twelve are general coffee machine topics, among them repair, "coffee maker problems", a broken glass jug, not pumping water, clogged, won't heat up, mould, cleaning with vinegar, descaling and smells. Eleven are for fully automatic machines, among them repair, bitter coffee, cleaning tablets, cleaning the brew unit, the water reservoir, the milk tube and the malfunction page.

What the index tells you

Most of the topics are care topics: cleaning, descaling, beans, milk and smells. Only three are about faults that need a repair: the repair pages and the malfunction page. Leaking, grinder faults and error messages have no topic of their own. That matches what we found on the UAE pages, and it is why the owner who meets a leak or a grinder noise finds nothing from Bosch beyond "contact customer service".

The Egypt page also carries unfilled template text in one section, so some of it appears unfinished. We use it only as a list of topics and not as a statement of what Bosch advises.

Before you send it to the Bosch workshop

If your machine is in warranty, or you prefer Bosch's route, a few questions are worth asking before you hand it over. Bosch UAE's page answers none of them. These are ours.

  1. Is collection free, or must you bring the machine in?
  2. How long will it be gone? Ask for a date, not "a few days".
  3. What should travel with it? The water tank, the drip tray, the grounds container and the milk system parts are separate items. Ask which are needed.
  4. What does it cost after the free period? Bosch Egypt and New Zealand say a fixed cost applies and show no amount.
  5. What will you tell me before you spend money? A written quote before work starts protects you either way.
  6. Where is my reference? Note the date, the name of the person you spoke to and the reference you were given.

Prepare the machine

Whichever route you take, empty and rinse the water tank, empty the drip tray and grounds container, and remove any beans from the hopper if the machine is going away. Photograph the machine, the display and any leak first. Keep the descaling record: the date of the last descale and the product. Our descaling guide has a small log that helps.

Descale first, or call

Bosch's pages split the faults, and we use the same line.

Symptom Bosch's pages Our reading First step
Will not pump water Descale (Egypt) Scale is the likeliest cause Descale with Bosch's descaler, rinse, retry
Will not heat Descale (Saudi Arabia) Scale on the heater is the likeliest cause Descale, rinse, retry once
Water runs out A repair is required (Egypt, UAE) Seals or the tank valve Find the water, photograph it, call
Overheating message Switch off for 30 minutes (UK) Descale if overdue Cool, descale, retry
Bitter coffee A coarser grind (UAE) Setting, beans, brew unit Adjust the setting a step at a time
Noisy grinder Not covered Burrs or motor Stop and message us
Weak or no coffee after a descale Not covered Pump or brew unit Clean the brew unit, then message us

A rule of thumb

Descale once, rinse properly, and retry. If the same fault returns, stop. Repeated descaling on a machine with a real fault costs you tablets and time, and our descaling guide says the same.

Checks that belong to you

None of these involves opening the machine.

  1. The water tank. Is it full, seated and clean? Remove it and refit it until it clicks.
  2. The drip tray and grounds container. Empty and refit them.
  3. The brew unit, if your model has a removable one. Our cleaning guide shows how to remove and rinse it.
  4. The grinder setting. Bosch UAE says coarser for bitter coffee. Adjust a step at a time.
  5. The display. Read the message and photograph it. Bosch UK's "cool device" message needs 30 minutes with the machine switched off.
  6. The descale. If the machine is overdue, descale it with Bosch's descaler. Do not use household cleaners.
  7. The power. Switch off at the socket, wait, and restart once. If the same fault returns, stop.

What not to do

  • Do not open the case. The machine holds water and mains power. Bosch UAE's own route is a workshop.
  • Do not use household cleaners. Bosch Egypt calls them "mostly aggressive" and says they harm the machine over the long term. Bosch Saudi Arabia calls them "generally too aggressive".
  • Do not run a leaking machine to see whether it stops.
  • Do not keep descaling a machine that has a fault a descale does not fix.

The visit and the cost

The AED 99 inspection includes the visit, the diagnosis and a written quote. If you approve the repair, the AED 99 comes off the repair price. If you decline, it is all you pay.

What happens at the inspection

The order is ours. The technician confirms the model and reads the display, then asks for the history: the last descale, the product and what changed before the fault. They see the fault happen if it can be reproduced. They check the water path, the seals and the tank seat for the visible causes. Only then do they decide whether the machine can be repaired on site, whether a part must be ordered, or whether the machine is best replaced. The quote names the part found and the work proposed, so you know what you are approving before any work starts.

Typical costs, excluding 5% VAT

Fault Usual cause Typical fix Time on site Price (AED)
Leaking Seals or water tank valve Replace seals or valve 45 to 75 min 150 – 320
No coffee Pump or clogged brew unit Descale, clean, or replace the pump 45 to 90 min 180 – 460
Grinder noise Burrs or motor Replace burrs or motor 60 to 90 min 260 – 560

These are the ranges on our coffee machine data. We have no separate figures for a heating fault, a milk system fault or a display error, and will not invent one. The written quote names the part and the work.

What moves a quote

The part matters most. A seal costs far less than a pump or a grinder motor. Stock matters too: model-specific parts are ordered once the fault is confirmed, which can mean a second visit.

A worked example

A Bosch fully automatic machine leaks from beneath the tank, and the technician finds a worn seal. The all-in price is AED 240, with the AED 99 inspection included. VAT at 5% adds AED 12, so you pay AED 252. If you decline the quote, you pay AED 99 plus AED 4.95 VAT, a total of AED 103.95. This illustrates how the pieces add up within our stated range. It is not a quote for your machine.

The warranty

Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on the parts fitted and the labour for the repaired fault. If the same fault returns inside 90 days, we come back at no charge. The warranty ends if the appliance is misused, damaged by a power surge, or opened by someone else.

Parts and the model code

Parts for a fully automatic machine are model-specific: a seal, a pump or a brew unit for one code may not fit another. Send us the model code from the base or the back, and we check availability before the visit where we can. Bosch UK's malfunction page points to a Bosch Store for original spare parts and approved accessories and care products. We found no equivalent Bosch UAE coffee machine parts page.

The part number

We do not describe our parts as original Bosch. The part number is on your quote and your invoice, so you can check it with Bosch. If the part we quoted is not available, we tell you before fitting a substitute.

Care products

Bosch's pages recommend Bosch's own descaler, and our descaling guide covers the products and part numbers Bosch publishes. We do not suggest a substitute.

Built-in machines

A built-in fully automatic machine, such as the CTL7181B0 on Bosch UAE's category, sits in a cabinet column. It cannot be carried to a workshop as easily as a countertop machine. Tell us at booking that it is built in, and what the cabinet looks like. A home visit is the realistic route.

Repair or replace

Our usual rule applies: if the repair costs more than about half of a comparable new machine, or the machine is old and has had more than one serious fault, replace it. Compare the written quote with the current price of a new machine.

An example with a dated retailer price

A UAE retailer, ACE, listed the Bosch TIG20301 at AED 1,699 on 2 November 2026, reduced from AED 3,029. That is a retailer's price on one day and may change. Against AED 1,699, a grinder repair at the top of our range, AED 560, is about a third of the price of a new machine. A seal at AED 240 is under a sixth. Check the current price before you decide.

Capsule machines

We found no UAE price for a Tassimo or other capsule machine, so we cannot give the arithmetic here. Compare your quote with the current price of the same machine. We tell you when a repair is not worth it. If our advice is to buy new, you owe only the inspection fee.

Questions to ask before you approve a quote

  1. Which part is faulty, and what is its number? The quote and invoice should name it.
  2. What did you test? A pump or a heater should be tested before it is replaced.
  3. Was the machine descaled first? A fault that a descale would fix should not be quoted as a part.
  4. Is the part in stock? If not, ask for the date.
  5. What is the warranty on the part and on the labour?
  6. If a second fault is found, will you tell me before you continue?

A short log that helps the technician

A coffee machine fault is easier to find when the history comes with it. Keep these notes for a week if the fault is intermittent. They are ours, and none comes from a Bosch page.

Note Why it helps
The exact display message and when it appears A message at start-up points somewhere different from one mid-brew
The date of the last descale and the product used Separates a scale fault from a part fault, and shows whether Bosch's descaler was used
Whether the machine has a water filter cartridge Our descaling guide covers how Bosch UK, the US and Germany describe filters, and a filter changes how often the machine needs descaling
The grinder setting and the beans Bosch UAE ties bitter coffee to the setting, and a change of beans can mimic a fault
Which drinks fail Espresso only, milk drinks only, or everything points to different parts
Where the water appears, and when Under the tank, beneath the machine, only while brewing, or after
Whether the fault began after a descale, a move or a power cut The timing narrows the cause without needing a theory
Whether anyone has opened or repaired the machine It affects the quote, and it affects any warranty

How to use it

Send the notes with the model code and a photo when you book. A technician who arrives knowing the message, the last descale and where the water appeared starts at the right part. A technician who arrives knowing only "it doesn't work" starts at the beginning, and the AED 99 inspection covers that time either way. The notes shorten the visit and make the quote more precise.

What the sources leave open

  • Whether the Bosch UAE workshop collects machines, how long a repair takes and what it costs. The page does not say.
  • Which number to call. Bosch UAE's page gives 600 522 553 and BSH 048030400.
  • Any cause for a leak, a grinder fault or a milk system fault. No Bosch page we read gives one.
  • Error codes for a coffee machine. We found none.
  • The fixed repair price after the free period on Bosch's Egypt and New Zealand pages. Both show only a placeholder.
  • Whether the 24-month free repair applies in the UAE.
  • Whether Bosch UAE sells coffee machine spare parts or care products online.

What to tell us

Send the model code from the base or the back, a photo of the machine, and a line on what it does. Say what the display shows, when the fault started, when you last descaled and which descaler you used. For a leak, send a photo of where the water is. For grinder noise, send a short video of the sound. We confirm a time window and the price range before we set off.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I get a Bosch fully automatic coffee machine repaired in Dubai?

Bosch UAE says to contact its customer service, which will have it repaired in the Bosch service workshop (600 522 553). We repair Bosch coffee machines across Dubai, as an independent company, with a written quote before work starts.

Why is my Bosch coffee machine leaking?

Bosch UAE says a clogged and leaking machine normally needs a repair, and Bosch Egypt says water running out usually needs a repair. Our service data lists seals and the water tank valve as the usual causes. Find the water and photograph it before you call.

Why will my Bosch coffee machine not pump water?

Bosch Egypt says a descale is usually the remedy, with Bosch's special descaler and no household cleaners. If a descale and rinse do not help, the pump or a clogged brew unit is next.

Why does my Bosch coffee machine not heat?

Bosch Saudi Arabia says it usually needs descaling. If the machine is still cold after a descale and a rinse, stop and book an inspection.

What does "cool device" mean on a Bosch coffee machine?

Bosch UK says the appliance is overheating. Switch it off for at least 30 minutes. If it returns, book an inspection.

Why does my Bosch coffee taste bitter?

Bosch UAE says a finer grind tastes stronger and can taste bitter. Use a coarser grinder setting, and check whether your beans are strongly flavoured.

Why is my Bosch coffee machine grinder making a noise?

No Bosch page we read covers it. Stop grinding and send us a video. Our service data lists burrs or the motor as the usual causes.

Can I use vinegar or household cleaner to descale?

Bosch Egypt calls household cleaners mostly aggressive and says they harm the machine. Bosch Saudi Arabia says they are generally too aggressive. Use Bosch's descaler.

How much does a Bosch coffee machine repair cost in Dubai?

Typically AED 150 to 560 before 5% VAT: leaking AED 150 to 320, no coffee AED 180 to 460, grinder noise AED 260 to 560. The AED 99 inspection is credited to the repair.

Do you repair Bosch Tassimo machines?

Send us the model code and a photo. We say before the visit whether we can repair it, and whether replacement makes more sense.

Do you repair built-in Bosch coffee machines?

Yes, by home visit. Tell us the model code and that it is built in.

Is it worth repairing a Bosch coffee machine?

Usually, for a fully automatic machine, if the repair costs less than about half of a comparable new one. We tell you when it is not worth it.
